Pele - Elephant

This is a good album. It's the guitar-tapping, sick instrumental type music. Ummm, and by listening to it, you will become better? That's a lie. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Coldplay - Brothers And Sisters

I know most of you have already heard Coldplay, and all have your own opinions of the band, but I think this album will alter your opinion, if not change it completely. I've heard this album described as a "continuation of OK Computer", which is correct in some aspects, but it's just different direction to Coldplay. Some people (me) would say that after this album, Coldplay took a definite step backwards. Anyways, good times.

Against Me!!

Okay, well I just found this today, and I've been super stoked to hear it. It's the new Against Me album; New Wave. Against Me is by far one of my favorite punk bands of all time. They're just all around an amazing band. Check out this album if you have half a brain.

Goldar And The Putty Patrol / The Beginning of Time - Split EP

So for those of you who live in Elliot Lake, you've probably heard of one or both of these bands. For those of you who aren't from my small town here's the low down. The Beginning Of Time is a joke rap band that me and my friends made making fun of LG's (little girls), and guys who get drunk and get with LG's. I played guitar in Goldar And The Putty Patrol. We played a show once, it was pretty cool. All the Goldar songs are pretty much improved, but they're not bad. I might even post a Goldar video sometime.

You May Die In The Desert - Bears In The Yukon

Umm, well, let's see. What can I say about this. It's a combo of like, Do Make Say Think, Explosions in the Sky, and Minus The Bear. Yeah, it's good. Definitely check it out if you like those three bands, or even if you don't, check them out anyway.

Sharks Keep Moving - S/T

If you recognize the voice, then you've probably heard Minus The Bear. Jake Snider (guitarist/vocalist for MTB) was also the guitarist/vocalist for Sharks Keep Moving. These guys are amazing. Very similar to Minus The Bear, except a bit slower paced. It's music to travel to.

The American Analog Set - The Fun Of Watching Fireworks

I wouldn't necessarily classify this as Post-rock. Well, yeah, I guess I will. This album is a pleasant combination of chillin' Indie, with some Post-rock. Broken Social Scene meets Explosions In The Sky meets like, mid 90's alt rock is really the only way I can accurately describe it I guess. Definitely check it out.

Artie Shaw - Begin The Beguine

For those of you who have seen the movie The Aviator, you have already heard what I think is the best song on this album (that does not mean you shouldn't check it out). Artie Shaw was an amazing musician, and composer.

The Red Chord - Prey For Eyes

Never have I been disappointed with a Red Chord album. Neither have I been disappointed with a Red Chord live performance. All in all, they're a solid band. This is just another solid record by them.

Beats, Rhymes, Life

It's been a long time since I've listened to rap. I stumbled upon this while searching for some old-school, real rap. These guys are wicked, I strongly suggest checking them out.

First Post

This is my first post, so I thought I would put out something fairly new. This is the new Number Twelve Looks Like You album; Mongrel. I've never really listened to NTLLY in the past, but thought I should check this album out. I listened to the first few songs and was quite impressed. It reminded me a lot of the new Psyopus album, which is very good itself.
